Nothing brings people together like the Multicultural Festival

Chandler’s Multicultural Festival is back and ready to celebrate community through food, entertainment and more

Who doesn’t love live performances, delicious food and engaging experiences? Throw in some shopping, a custom cruiser car show and learning about your community, and you have a great day in Chandler!

The City of Chandler’s Multicultural Festival is back for its 31st year to celebrate the community’s strong heritage and vibrant cultural diversity.

Marvel in the lively entertainment from local and international talent on the Unity Stage, like Irish Dance, a Native American reggae artist and a modern funk and soul group. Don’t worry – there will be plenty of room to dance while you watch!

Come hungry! Foodies will enjoy the variety of worldly cuisines, including flavors from the Philippines and the Caribbean, as well as classic American fare. Try something new or indulge in your favorite comfort food.

The festival’s international shopping market features unique treasures and handmade goods from around the globe. You will also be able to connect with over 50 local nonprofits, faith-based organizations and other educational groups, all representing and serving the Valley’s diverse communities.

Gearheads, this one’s for you! Back for its second year, the custom cruiser car show features custom vehicles from all over the Valley. You can even pick your favorite car and then cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

The NCAA Women’s Final Four trophy is making an appearance at the Multicultural Festival, so make sure you grab a photo with it before taking part in the interactive basketball-themed activities.

This festival is for all ages, which makes the Kids Zone the place to be! It features fun, safe activities for children, such as face painting, bounce houses, a charm collecting activity (with a free key chain) and the always-popular Arizona Cardinals Experience.

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Chandler will kick off the America 250 celebration at this year’s Multicultural Festival. Check out the “27 Flags: Our History Through the Stars and Stripes” exhibition, on display for the first time at the festival.

The Multicultural Festival is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza, 178 E. Commonwealth Ave. in Downtown Chandler. Admission is free.

Come join the fun as we celebrate culture, unity and community!
